Qualdrop KH Builder is a product designed to increase carbonate hardness (KH) in the prepared water, which is responsible for the stability of the pH in the aquarium, acting as a buffer to limit sudden fluctuations water pH and ensuring safe conditions for plants and fish.

KH Builder, as well as increasing KH, also provides potassium – one of the essential macronutrients necessary for the proper growth of aquatic plants.

This not only helps to stabilise water parameters, but also promotes plant growth without the need for a separate potassium fertiliser.

Convenience and speed of water preparation

The product is available as a microsuspension, which dissolves very quickly and evenly in water. Compared to traditional mineralisers in salt form, it eliminates the problem of incomplete dissolution and allows water to be prepared quickly and consistently.

This gives you full control over its composition, which is particularly important in planted aquariums and more demanding setups.

Qualdrop KH Builderis designed to increase carbonate hardness (KH) in freshwater aquariums, particularly in reverse osmosis (RO) systems.

It is also used to raise and stabilise the water’s pH, as one of the key elements in achieving target water parameters, particularly in planted aquariums.

It works particularly well in tanks with active substrate, where it is essential to apply the preparations accurately to the water column.

Tip1:

KH is responsible for the stability of the pH, Therefore, maintaining the correct level is crucial for the health and stability of the entire tank. When using RO water, it is advisable to establish the parameters from scratch by combining KH Builder with the preparation Qualdrop GH+ One Plant. This combination allows you to set both parameters independently: total hardness (GH) and carbonate hardness (KH), thereby adjusting the water to suit the specific tank.

Tip 2:

How do you use KH Builder in practice?

It is best to use the mineraliser when preparing water for tank changes.

Do not add the product directly to the aquarium – this prevents sudden changes in water parameters and ensures full control over the final water composition.

Dosage:

Add 2 ml of the product per 10 litres of water; this will increase carbonate hardness KH by 1° and raise the potassium level (K) by approximately 14 mg/l.

Shake the bottle vigorously for a few seconds before use, to ensure the suspension is uniform. Then add the appropriate amount of mineraliser to the water you have prepared earlier and mix thoroughly. You can safely use the water prepared in this way in your aquarium.

Remember that raising the KH and pH too quickly can be harmful to fish and shrimp, so make changes to the KH gradually and keep an eye on how the aquarium’s inhabitants react.
