Tropical Kirysek This is a multi-ingredient food in the form of fine, sinking pellets, specially formulated for small fish that feed at the bottom of the aquarium. The size and texture of the pellets make it easier for small species, particularly corydoras, to eat.

Bottom-dwelling fish are often most active at dusk and after dark, so it’s worth feeding them Tropical Welsi in the evening — this increases the likelihood that the food will reach them directly, rather than the fish swimming higher up. In community aquariums, scatter the pellets in several places on the bottom to reduce competition and allow for peaceful feeding gudgeons, minnows and catfish.

Keep an eye on how quickly they eat — bottom-dwelling fish should have time to feed on the pellets naturally and slowly.

When using foods such as Tropical Kirysek it is particularly important to monitor water parameters, especially the level of nitrates (NO₃).

Regular, moderate feeding and effective biological filtration are essential, but it’s also worth seeking additional support.
