Product description
Clay-peat balls – natural support for healthy plant growth
Natural, heat-treated fertiliser in the form of solid pellets, designed to nourish aquarium plants directly in the root zone.
Composition and action
The top-quality clay contained in them, with a consistent composition regardless of the batch, acts as a nutrient store – it absorbs excess nutrients from the substrate and then gradually releases them when the plants need them.
The pellets are additionally enriched with a complex of micro and macro fertilisers that support intensive rooting and lush, healthy growth. This gives plants constant access to nutrients, which significantly improves their condition and growth rate.
Substrate durability and regeneration
After approximately 2–3 months of operation, pure clay remains in the balls, which continues to perform an important function – it fertilises the soil, supports the development of microflora and facilitates rooting of plants.
Regular replenishment of the pellets helps maintain optimal growing conditions, even in the most barren soils.
Purpose
Clay-peat balls are used to enrich barren substrates such as volcanic lava, gravel or sand, which do not contain nutrients for plants on their own.
The use of pellets provides plants with essential nutrients, supporting their healthy growth, rooting and proper development.

What you should know before buying
Quantity sold: 1 ball
If you want to order a larger quantity, add the appropriate number of items to your basket – for example, to buy 10 capsules, add 10 items.
Before use – Important
Due to their natural composition of clay and peat, the balls may partially crumble when in contact with water, causing slight cloudiness (the so-called brown-orange haze effect).
To avoid this, it is best to place them in the substrate when setting up the aquarium or just before the planned water change.
Any excess slurry that appears during the application of the pellets can be easily removed with a sludge remover.
NatuCouncil
Tip1:
To provide plants with a full and balanced spectrum of nutrients, it is best to place clay-peat balls directly next to larger clusters of plants.
For plants that are planted less frequently, it is recommended to use one ball every 5–10 cm.
For lawn plants such as Eleocharis parvula mini, it is advisable to place the balls more densely – every 2–3 cm along the seedlings.
Tip 2:
It is most convenient to apply the balls to the substrate when setting up the aquarium – before pouring gravel or other sterile substrate (e.g. sand, volcanic lava).
Place them approximately every 4–6 cm, then cover with soil.
In existing aquariums, it is best to do this just before the planned water change, which will allow any cloudiness to be easily removed.
