Product description
Aqua Nova – silicone aquarium hose
A durable, flexible, and highly versatile hose made of high-quality silicone, designed for aquarium applications and more.
This material is exceptionally resistant to aging, water, and UV rays, while remaining highly flexible, which facilitates installation even in hard-to-reach places.
Silicone does not affect water parameters or release harmful substances, making it completely safe for aquarium inhabitants and plants.
Purpose
Silicone hose is a universal piece of aquarium equipment, most often used for aerating aquariums. Fits most available on the marketaerators and can power traditional sponge filters.
It is also perfect for maintenance tasks such as draining water, removing uneaten food, or sucking up debris from the bottom of the aquarium.
Thanks to its small diameter, it allows for precise cleaning of hard-to-reach places in the aquarium—e.g., delicate filamentous algae or cyanobacteria colonies—without the risk of accidentally sucking up the substrate or the smallest inhabitants of the tank.
It can also be used for the acclimatization of newly acquired aquarium animals.
Silicone hose A durable and reliable solution that works well not only in aquariums, but also in other systems requiring tight and flexible connections.

Tip1:
The silicone hose is ideal for acclimatizing newly purchased aquarium animals using the drip method.
You can regulate the water flow in two ways—using a valve with built-in adjustment or simply by clamping the hose with a clip. Just observe the amount of water flowing through the hose and, if necessary, gently squeeze or loosen it to achieve the desired drip rate.
Tip 2:
Do you have too many floating plants, such as duckweed? Connect the ends of the silicone hose together (e.g., using a droplet) to form a closed circle.
When placed on the water surface, it floats, pushing plants aside. This allows light to reach the inside of the circle, giving you the perfect place to feed fish and shrimp.
