It is ideal after drug treatments, poisoning, and water discoloration caused by roots, for example. It can be used in external filters, internal filters with media chambers, sumps, and filter chimneys.

For CarboMAX Plus, it is worth purchasing a bag for filter media, available in our store. Then, depending on the size of the aquarium, pour one or two sachets into the bag.

CarboMAX Plus maintains its absorption efficiency for approximately four weeks of continuous use, after which it is recommended to replace the cartridge with a new one. Regular replacement ensures continuous protection against the accumulation of harmful substances and keeps the aquarium in perfect condition.

Tip1:

To take full advantage of the capabilities of CarboMAX Plus, always place it behind mechanical and biological cartridges – this will allow the granules to work in optimal conditions and prevent them from becoming clogged with solid contaminants.

If you use a sump or a filter with a chimney, it is worth dedicating a separate compartment for it – in this arrangement, CarboMAX Plus works most efficiently.

Tip 2:

Use CarboMAX Plus as a support when the water in the aquarium requires rapid improvement – not as a permanent part of the filtration system.

Using activated carbon for too long can limit the availability of micronutrients needed by plants. If the cartridge is not replaced regularly, there is also a risk that over time it will begin to release into the water what it has previously absorbed. Therefore, you will achieve the best results by replacing it every 3–4 weeks or immediately after completing the treatment.
