Product description
A complex of macronutrients for sustained growth
Qualdrop Basic Grow is a concentrated base fertiliser that provides plants with essential macronutrients: nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K), as well as supplementary amounts of magnesium (Mg) and calcium (Ca).
These elements are responsible for growth rate, root system development, tissue structure and the overall health of plants in the aquarium. Carefully selected proportions of these components help maintain nutritional balance, even in heavily planted tanks. Magnesium and calcium support metabolic processes and the proper cellular structure of plants, contributing to their stable and healthy growth.
The foundation of the fertilisation system
Basic Grow It can form the basis of the entire fertilisation system for a planted aquarium. The product has been developed with a view to the informed and precise management of the tank, where a regular supply of macronutrients prevents stunted growth, leaf deformities and problems resulting from nutrient deficiencies.
It works well both in aquariums with moderate plant growth and in tanks with intense lighting and CO₂ supplementation, where the demand for macronutrients is significantly higher.
Regular use helps maintain stable nutrient levels and helps preserve the biological balance in the aquarium.
Purpose
Qualdrop Basic Grow is designed for the regular fertilisation of planted aquariums requiring a replenishment of macronutrients.
It works well as a basic fertiliser in low-tech and high-tech tanks, both as a standalone source of macronutrients and as part of a complete fertilisation system in combination with micronutrient preparations.

NatuCouncil
Tip1:
To provide plants with a full spectrum of nutrients, Basic Grow should be used in combination with micronutrient fertilisers, particularly with the preparation Qualdrop Forte FE. This combination ensures access to all the key elements necessary for healthy growth and vigorous development of plants.
Tip 2:
How should Basic Grow be dosed correctly?
One pump dispenses approximately 2 ml of the product.
Approximate dosage:
– For aquariums with few plants, low light levels, low CO₂ levels and few fish: it is recommended to use 1 pump stroke per 25–30 litres of water, 2–3 times a week.
– With an average amount of plants, CO2, light and fish: the dose can be increased by pressing the button 1–2 times, 2–3 times a week.
– If there are a large number of plants, CO2, light and fish: apply at least 2 pumps, 3–5 times a week.
The best results for plants are achieved by applying the fertiliser daily in doses proportionate to the recommended weekly amount, rather than applying the entire weekly dose in a single go.
The dosage should always be adjusted to the plants’ growth rate and the specific requirements of the aquarium. We recommend carrying out regular aquarium tests, in particular test for NO₃ (nitrates), PO₄ (phosphates) to monitor the plants’ uptake of fertilisers on an ongoing basis.
Before use, it is advisable to shake the bottle well to ensure the active ingredients are evenly distributed.
Tip 3:
In newly set-up aquariums and when changing the fertilisation system, you should not start with the full recommended dose. Any change in the tank takes time to stabilise.
It is best to start with around a third of the target dose and gradually increase it, keeping a close eye on how the plants respond.
