Product description
An unusual type of moss – creeping
Pilo Moss This is an exceptionally decorative aquarium moss, characterised by long, heavily overhanging shoots and a distinctive, layered arrangement of tiny leaves. It is sparsely branched. The leaves are arranged in two rows, alternating with one another, whilst the lateral leaves are attached at an angle and are rounded in shape. The edges of the leaves have delicate, fine serrations.
It forms dense, soft, creeping clumps that grow on roots and rocks.
Its vivid green shoots grow in an irregular pattern.
Pilo Moss forms a denser branched structure, whose shoots undulate beautifully in the current.
Purpose
This plant is suitable for most types of aquariums – from classic community tanks, through nature-styleaquariums, right up to more advanced aquascaping set-ups, such as iwagumi, ryoboku or jungle.
The plant looks particularly striking when secured high up on roots or stones, from where it can hang freely downwards, creating the effect of green cascades (a willow-like effect).
Over time, it can become quite dense and form very natural-looking clumps of vegetation.
Thanks to its structure, moss provides an excellent hiding place for shrimps, fry and small organisms living in the aquarium. It is very easy for [… ] to thrive on its surface biofilm, which is a natural food source for young prawns.

Planting
Pilo Moss It is most commonly attached to roots, stones, mesh or other decorative elements using thread, aquarium glue or netting.
It is recommended to plant it in small batches, leaving space between them, which creates a more natural effect and helps the plant to spread evenly.
The best visual effect is achieved by planting it higher up in the arrangement, allowing the shoots to fall naturally and spread downwards.
Over time, the plant naturally attaches itself to the surface of the decoration and forms dense clusters.
