Product description
Natural protection against unwanted organisms.
Z-1 Bio Protector is a product based on natural plant extracts, designed to combat water fleas and daphnia in planted aquariums and shrimp tanks. They are among the most common uninvited guests, and can pose a real threat to fry and shrimp.
Thanks to its concentrated formula, the product is effective after just one application, allowing you to quickly reduce the population of unwanted organisms without the need for harsh chemicals.
Safety for biodiversity
Z-1 Bio Protector has been designed to act selectively – eliminating the problem without disrupting the aquarium’s biological balance.
When used correctly, it is safe for fish, shrimp and plants, and does not adversely affect the bacterial flora responsible for the stability of the nitrogen cycle.
This means it can be used without interfering with the filtration system or the functioning of the entire tank, which is particularly important in stable, established aquariums.
Purpose
Z-1 Bio Protector is designed for use in freshwater aquariums, particularly in planted tanks and shrimp tanks, to control populations of mosquitofish and loaches – which pose a threat to young shrimp or disrupt the balance in the tank.
It can be used without risk of harming plants or the filter bacteria. It is also 100% safe for shrimp and fish.

Tip1:
How do you use Z-1 Bio Protector in practice?
Z-1 Bio Protector is a product that works best when used correctly and thoroughly.
Use one sachet per 25 litres of water:
- First, dissolve it in a small amount of water from the aquarium,
- Stir thoroughly until a uniform suspension is formed.
- Then pour the solution into the tank, preferably near the filter outlet, to ensure it spreads quickly.
- While the product is taking effect, it is advisable to increase the aeration of the aquarium, as this further enhances its effectiveness.
The treatment lasts around 7 days, and you should not change the water during this time. It is best to start this immediately after a standard water change, as this helps maintain stable conditions throughout the treatment period. Once the treatment is complete, carry out a water change of around 50%.
If there were a large number of floating organisms in the aquarium, the water may become cloudy during treatment – this is a natural reaction caused by the organisms dying off.
While using this product, it is advisable to remove ornamental snails from the aquarium, as Z-1 may be harmful to them. For this reason, the product is also effective as a means of controlling populations of unwanted snails, such as garden snails.
If, after a week, there has not been a sufficient reduction in the number of minnows and sticklebacks, the treatment can be repeated.
Bear in mind, however, that the appearance of floating algae, water fleas or an excess of snails is most often caused by overfeeding, contamination or their introduction from another aquarium. Therefore, in addition to treating the problem itself, it is worth reviewing your daily tank maintenance routine – this is the most effective way to prevent the problem from recurring.
