Seachem Pristine This product is based on specially selected strains of bacteria that naturally improve the water quality in the aquarium. Their role is to break down excess organic matter – such as uneaten food, waste, dead plant matter and biofilm.

This helps to reduce sources of pollution, which, in the long term, lead to a deterioration in water quality and the growth of undesirable organisms. Just a few days after application, an improvement in water clarity and the overall appearance of the reservoir can be observed.

Unlike traditional bacterial preparations based solely on nitrification, Pristine contains strains capable of functioning in both oxygen-rich and oxygen-poor environments. This means that it supports not only the transformation of nitrogen compounds, but also their reduction.

Before use thoroughly shake the product.

Dosage:

The standard initial dose is 5 ml per 40 litres of water, whereas the maintenance dose is 5 ml per 80 litres.

Switch off the UV lamp whilst using the product and leave it off for 2–3 days – this allows the bacteria to colonise the aquarium and start working effectively.

The product is particularly useful in situations, when the aquarium begins to accumulate an excess of organic pollutants – manifesting itself as cloudiness in the water, the appearance of biofilm or a deterioration in the condition of fish.
