One of the greatest advantages of the module is no need to use additional power supplies or cabling. Thanks to the built-in electronic circuit the fluorescent lamp is powered directly from the 230 V mains. This means simple installation – no specialist knowledge or additional accessories required – and also reduces the weight of the aquarium cover in which the fluorescent lamp is mounted.

High quality workmanship is the hallmark of the Leddy Tube series.. The LED strip is housed in a durable glass tube, which protects it from mechanical damage. Protection class IPX8 guarantees complete water resistance – even accidental immersion of the module in water poses no threat.

Thanks to the carefully selected LEDs, the fluorescent lamp emits minimal amounts of heat. This is an important advantage—the water in the aquarium does not heat up, which reduces evaporation and helps prevent accidental burns.

If you want to upgrade your older aquarium cover without having to replace it, T5/T8 adapters dedicated to Leddy Tube Plant 2.0 are a great solution. Thanks to them, you can easily install a new fluorescent lamp in place of traditional fixtures (usually two white mounts on the sides). Just place Leddy Tube Plant 2.0 in the adapter, and then plug the whole thing into the existing sockets – no additional modifications or complicated installation required.

Adapters T5/T8 Due to the possibility of adjustment and their length, they take up an additional 12–15 cm. This should be taken into account when choosing a fluorescent lamp for old-style covers.

The selection of the appropriate number of fluorescent lamps depends on the needs of the plants and the size of the aquarium. To ensure optimal growing conditions, it is advisable to follow the guidelines below:

• Aquariums up to 60 cm – 1–2 pieces Leddy Tube Plant 2.0 – 10 W
  (1 piece for undemanding plants, 2 pieces for more demanding plants)
• Aquariums up to 80 cm – 1–2 pieces Leddy Tube Plant 2.0 – 14 W
  (1 piece for simple species, 2 for more intensively growing plants)
• Aquariums over 100 cm – 2–3 pieces Leddy Tube Plant 2.0 – 17 W
  (the number of fluorescent tubes depends on the plant stock and the depth of the tank)

General rule:
For healthy plant growth, it is recommended to provide a minimum of 30 lumens per liter of water.

• Leddy Tube Plant 2.0 – version dedicated to plant aquariums. It contains additional red LEDs that support photosynthesis and stimulate more intensive plant growth. In addition, they offer higher power and better color reproduction.
