Product description

Neo Diffuser – a modern CO₂ diffuser for demanding aquarists

A CO₂ diffuser is essential in a planted aquarium – without it, the gas escapes in large bubbles that rise to the surface instead of dissolving in the water. The ideal model should be highly efficient, durable, aesthetically pleasing and available in the right size.

Neo Diffuser combines all these features in one product.

Ceramic fibre sinter – improved CO₂ solubility

The heart of the Neo Diffuser is a sintered ceramic fibre. Thanks to innovative technology, it creates an exceptionally dense structure of micropores, which ensure maximum gas solubility, as well as extraordinary durability and resistance to damage.

Compact dimensions and aesthetics

Modern sintering has made it possible to reduce the size of the diffuser while maintaining full performance. The smaller model supports larger aquariums than traditional solutions, so it does not disturb the arrangement and leaves the plants as the main decoration of the tank.

Acrylic body – elegant and durable

Body Neo Diffuser is made of crystal-clear acrylic. It looks as elegant as glass, but is much more resistant to damage. This makes the diffuser almost invisible in the aquarium and also allows you to use the built-in bubble counter.

Purpose

Expand

The CO₂ diffuser is used to effectively dissolve the gas directly in the aquarium. Without it, the gas from the cylinder escapes in the form of large bubbles that quickly rise to the surface, causing most of the CO₂ to be wasted and not dissolved in the water.

Additional content

Each Neo Diffuser model comes with two sturdy, large suction cups with a hole for the diffuser tube and a practical U-shaped elbow. This allows the CO₂ supply hose to pass over the edge of the aquarium without kinking, ensuring convenient installation and long-term reliability.

Before use – important!

Immerse in water for 10 minutes before first use to allow the sintered material to absorb water. Releasing CO2 from the cylinder too early may result in less effective gas dispersion through the sintered material.

Tip1:

If, after some time, the diffuser loses its efficiency (e.g. due to clogging with dirt/sediment/algae), soak the diffuser in bleach for 5 minutes and it will be as good as new.

Alternatively, prepare a solution of citric acid and RO water in a ratio of 20g per 100ml of water. (Mix thoroughly until the crystals are completely dissolved). Then soak the sinter for at least 24–48 hours, and then rinse it under running water.

Tip 2:

To create a basic Co2 kit, we will need the following components:

– CO2 cylinders

– CO2 reducer, which allows us to regulate the amount of gas supplied from the cylinder

– Dedicated high-pressure PU hose, we recommend a minimum of 2–3 meters (better to take more than less)

CO2 diffuser is an important component of a CO2 system, as it breaks down gas bubbles directly in the aquarium into much smaller ones, thus eliminating losses associated with the solubility of gas in water.

CO2 indicator together with the indicator fluid. A must-have when administering CO2. It allows you to determine and continuously monitor the amount of CO2 in water. This allows us to determine whether we are supplying the appropriate amount of CO2 to the aquarium. Thanks to this, we can also avoid the so-called fish suffocation (too much CO2 in the water) or increase the amount of CO2 supplied if there is not enough of it. This is usually indicated by colors: yellow – too much, green – adequate level, blue – too little.

Optionally, we recommend the following for the above set:

– Bubble counter – thanks to this, we can precisely set and determine the amount that is to be released from the cylinder into the aquarium.

– Precision valve – much more accurate than a CO2 regulator, allowing for more precise adjustment of the amount of gas supplied from the cylinder to the aquarium.

All of the components we have listed are available for purchase in our store. If you would like to purchase a ready-made Co2 kit, please refer to our other auctions, where we have also prepared such kits.
