BMV CO2 solenoid valve – German precision for aquariums

The BMV solenoid valve is a top-quality solution created especially for aquarists by the German brand Bavaria FluidTec. It has been designed for trouble-free and comfortable operation in any aquarium. Thanks to the use of high-quality components, it is distinguished by its durability, energy efficiency, and exceptional performance.

Comfort and energy savings

The BMV consumes only 2 W of power, making it one of the most energy-efficient solenoid valves available on the market. During operation, it does not heat up, hum, or make any noise—even at night, it operates completely silently, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep and complete comfort of use.

Durability and reliability

The internal components are made of stainless steel, and the ends are made of nickel-plated brass. The solenoid valve has no dead spaces where contaminants could accumulate. Each opening and closing causes the device to clean itself automatically, ensuring smooth operation for many years.

Universal application

The solenoid valve can be connected to any CO₂ regulator. After unscrewing the nickel-plated end piece onto a 6 mm hose, you get an additional 1/8″ external thread, which offers a wide range of installation options. The set also includes a 1.5 m long 3-wire cable with grounding.

Intelligent CO₂ control

The BMV solenoid valve was designed for precise control of carbon dioxide in aquariums. It can be paired with a mechanical programmer to automatically shut off the gas supply at night, or with an aquarium computer that regulates the pH of the tank. The best results are achieved when its operation is synchronized with the aquarium lighting. The solenoid valve is normally closed, and connecting it to the power supply opens the gas flow.

Quality and safety guarantee

BMV is a patented device with CE certification, which confirms its quality and compliance with European standards. Thanks to its unique design, it is characterized by unmatched reliability – the risk of failure is less than one per thousand. It is an investment that will ensure long-term and trouble-free use in any plant aquarium.

Tip1:

To take full advantage of the solenoid valve, connect it to a timer synchronized with the aquarium lighting. This will ensure that CO₂ is only supplied when the plants really need it, saving gas and optimizing consumption.

If you want even greater precision, consider connecting the solenoid valve to an aquarium controller that monitors water parameters. This solution allows you to perfectly adjust the amount of CO₂ supplied to the needs of your plants, minimizing gas losses and maintaining stable pH values in the aquarium. When using a regular timer, these values may be more varied and less predictable than when working with a pH computer.
