It enables the measurement of  <\/span><b>in the range of 3 to 125 mg\/l<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, enabling accurate monitoring of one of the essential macronutrients responsible for the proper metabolism of aquarium plants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Why measure potassium?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Potassium (K),<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> alongside <\/span><b>nitrogen (NO\u2083) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>phosphorus (PO4),<\/b> <b>is one of the most important macronutrients essential for proper plant growth<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unlike nitrogen and phosphorus, which are often present in sufficient or even excessive quantities in fish tanks, <\/span><b>potassium <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is very rarely supplied in sufficient quantities naturally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Failure to monitor potassium levels leads to<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a gradual deficiency, which manifests itself as<\/span><b>yellowing of older leaves<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the appearance of characteristic<\/span><b>holes in the leaf blades<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and a general <\/span><b>weakening of plant growth<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><b> <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>A potassium deficiency <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">also disrupts the transport of other nutrients within plant tissues, impairing their condition even when levels of <\/span><b>NO\u2083 and PO\u2084 are normal.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the other hand, <\/span><b>excessive potassium supplementation is not without consequences either<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
