In turn, in internal filters<\/b>, the sponge can serve<\/b> as the main filtration medium<\/b>, ensuring effective mechanical and biological filtration<\/b>. <\/span>The fine structure of the sponge allows for the thorough capture of detritus<\/b> (dead organic matter), while also providing an excellent surface for the growth of beneficial nitrifying bacteria<\/b>, which are responsible for maintaining the biological balance in the aquarium.<\/p>\n Compared to standard cartridges supplied by manufacturers, our sponges stand out thanks to their carefully selected gradation<\/b> \u2013 most original cartridges are either too porous (which results in a rapid decline in performance) or too fine (which means that smaller contaminants are not effectively retained).<\/p>\n The sponges are made of polyurethane foam<\/b> with a regular structure and open pores. This material is chemically neutral<\/b> \u2013 it does not affect water<\/b> parameters, ensures optimal filtration, and does not release any substances. The foam sold is of the Filtren<\/b> type, which is foam designed specifically for liquid filtration. <\/p>\n Important!<\/b><\/p>\n We offer two versions of sponges<\/b>: with a gradation of 30 PP<\/b>I and 45 PPI. <\/b>For use as a prefilter<\/b>, we recommend 30 PPI<\/b> gradation \u2013 it traps larger contaminants and does not restrict filter flow.
