FAQ
What does a service visit at Natuscape look like?
What does a typical service visit look like?
We begin every collaboration with an aquarium review consultation – The service technician assesses the tank, equipment, stock, plants, and general maintenance conditions. Based on this, they prepare an action plan tailored to your aquarium.
Only subsequent visits involve the provision of selected services: from routine maintenance, through extended support, to comprehensive care From A to Z. Each visit ends with a brief summary and, if necessary, recommendations for the future.
How long does the visit take?
The service visit is lasting from about an hour to even several hours, depending on the size of the aquarium and the scope of work. Standard services usually take 60–90 minutes, but for larger tanks or more extensive services, the time may be longer.
Do I need to be present during the visit?
It is not mandatory, but we recommend that an adult who is fully responsible for the aquarium be present on site. This allows the service technician to consult decisions on an ongoing basis and obtain all the necessary information.
Does the service technician bring his own equipment and preparations?
Yes – all service tools and basic preparations are provided. If you want him to bring additional products (e.g., fertilizers, substrate, water tests, accessories), you can select them in the application form.
Is water parameter testing included in the service?
Basic service does not include analysis of water. Testing chemical parameters is treated as separate, additional paid service, which you can order while a10> filling out the form, directly with the service technician or via a separate subpage Water testing.
The exception is Comprehensive “A to Z” service – only as part of this single service is water testing included in the price.
How to prepare the aquarium and surroundings for a visit?
To ensure that your visit runs smoothly and without any problems, please prepare your aquarium according to these brief instructions:
- Access to the aquarium: Ensure at least 1 m of free space in front and, if possible, access from the sides. Remove any objects standing next to the tank.
- Surroundings: Protect the floor (e.g., with a towel or plastic sheet), provide access to a tap and drain, and prepare a place for accessories. If you have pets, isolate them during the visit.
- Aquarium and equipment: leave the devices switched on (filter, heater, CO₂, lighting), report any equipment causing problems.
- Your notes: prepare a list of observations (fish diseases, algae, plant problems) and questions you want to discuss.
- Attendance: It is best if the visit takes place in the presence of the aquarium owner or an authorized person. If it is to take place without the owner, this must be agreed in advance.
This will allow the service technician to focus on their work, and the entire visit will be faster and more efficient.
What happens after the visit?
After completion, the service technician will provide a verbal or written summary and recommendations. If you have an account in the Natuscape system, all reports and service history are automatically saved to your profile, so you can refer back to them at any time.
Can I change the scope of work during the visit?
Yes – if during the meeting it turns out that you want to extend the scope of work, the service technician can perform it immediately (if time permits) or suggest another visit.
